Our association has been empowering lives for people with Parkinson’s Disease, their caregivers and family members for the passed 1 year under the umbrella of Malaysia Parkinson’s Disease Association (Kuala Lumpur). Many have gained encouragement through the social interaction and integration as our association provides an opportunity for them to discuss experiences and to share ideas,  We do this through educational talks, public awareness campaigns, well-being and self help activities in different places eg hospitals, volunteers home and rented space.

This year, on top of our assisting activities, the members of Penang have embarked into a new journey with people living with Parkinson’s especially in Penang:-

• We have finally registered and formed our own association and have been approved on the 8th Aug 2014.

• Organizing a major event to launch our association officially and with the co-organiser from Penang MS Support Group for a charity event – Walk for Neuro-restoration on the 26th October 2014 at Padang Polo Pulau Pinang.

• Establishment of the local support groups in Penang  and host more public forum, training workshops for healthcare professionals related to this area

• We have started our outreach initiatives to the newly diagnose patients and family members.
